O, Christmas Tree

A small Christmas tree at San Francisco Civic Center was stolen tonight. The tree had been decorated with ornaments handmade by children in a project designed to give them a sense of contributing to the community.

There were no plans to give the ornaments back to the children after the holidays so they could experience the joy of true giving.

But somebody removed the tree, lights, ornaments and all.

And now the children get to experience true taking.

They say no good deed goes unpunished.

Kick to the balls.....my first thought for the perpetrator...

Who ARE these people?? Geez!! This stuff can't be random. I really believe folks who do this kind of thing this time of year think long and hard about the most obnoxiously evil stupidity they can muster.

If this a practical joke from some pranksters, this totally lacks humour.
If this is a theft, I'm baffled, as the tree and its ornaments obviously "only" carry sentimental value.
What next? Stealing pacifiers from the mouths of babies?

Christina,

Pretty rasty, stealing from children. But we shouldn't assume the felon has balls.

Lex,

The Christmas spirit is alive and well.

Marie,

Pacifiers make great tree ornaments.

Cece,

Dickwads, that's who.

F-ball,

I'll get right on it.

Curmudgeon,

Where did you set it up?

What kind of presents would you find under a stolen Christmas tree on Christmas morning?

heartinsanfrancisco said...

Jerri,

Stolen ones, of course. What else? Christmas dinner, too.

Remember the Grinch?

Michael,

Someone who steals a Christmas tree from children is hazy on the concept.
