To some of my very favorite people!

I hope 2007 brings peace to all our nations, and joy and healing to each of us.

Let us do and be the best we can, and live this year as if it were our last. (While hoping it isn't.)

New Year's Day… now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual.
~Mark Twain

Good resolutions are simply checks that men draw on a bank where they have no account.
~Oscar Wilde

New Year's Resolution: To tolerate fools more gladly, provided this does not encourage them to take up more of my time.
~James Agate

I made no resolutions for the New Year. The habit of making plans, of criticizing, sanctioning and molding my life, is too much of a daily event for me.
~Anais Nin

One resolution I have made, and try always to keep, is this: To rise above the little things.
~John Burroughs

People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas.
~Anonymous

Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.
~Oprah Winfrey

Lee,

Thank you! The same to you and your boys.

Odat,

Back atcha', and many more. Keep on spreading peace. It's so needed.

Stewart,

OK, it looks like a wrap. I'll be seeing you in all the new, familiar places. And you should probably turn up the heat unless those are Long Johns.

A lovely year to you and yours.

Happy New Year to you as well. I'm not making resolutions per se, but I'm going to try to make a few changes in order to better my life.

I never make resolutions at new years. too much pressure. here's hoping you and flip have a wonderful new year!

Aisby,

That's basically what I do, mainly because I rarely get around to making resolutions. If I were a smoker, I would resolve to quit, but vague change-for-the-better works for me. And it's not limiting.

Urchin,

Who needs extra pressure?

Warmest wishes to you and your husband and beautiful kids out there in ex-pat Bay Area exile.

Olives,

I especially like the one from Mark Twain. He was amazing!

Happy, happy to you.

Joys,

I hope it's your best one yet.

Thanks for coming by!

Happy New Year to you, HISF!
I quite love the Oscar Wilde quote :)
I'll add this one:

Hasty resolutions are of the nature of vows, and to be equally avoided.

That's a great quote From Wm. Penn. Thanks!

Happy New Year to you and yours I may decide to quit drinking soda. I drink maybe a can a day now but I think that should go. We'll see. I still have a few hours to decide if I want to do that or not. ;0

heartinsanfrancisco said...

Liz,

Well, that's a Very Serious Decision, and shouldn't be rushed into.

Happy New Year to you, your husband and sons.

So, you were the person who started the Toga Party. I love the 'first' Happy New Year greeting...well, I like all of them, but that one is extremely artsy. Is that a sunrise or a sunset. I think I might like it as much as the first one...

Claudia,

Happy New Year, lovely one.

Swampwitch,

Thank you. It's a sunrise. I was trying to suggest the dawn of creation since this is a new year.

Happy New Year!

And what a beautiful sunset!

heartinsanfrancisco said...

Crankster,

Happy New Year to you and yours, too.

It's a sunrise, actually. Isn't it wonderful that we get to see such beauty twice a day if we're inclined (and awake?)
